When you hear pure harmony you hear an extraordinary sound. Multiple voices all singing different components of a chord to make one sound. A harmonic sound is very different than multiple people singing a single note. Harmony achieves a level of oneness that opens a dimension of sound where everyone is heard, yet at the same time one chord is sung in unison. So it is in community and in the ideal picture of the body of Christ where our lives collectively mirror the nature of Jesus. The individual member does not give context to the body. Rather the body gives context to the member. May this message open you to appreciate the power of community, and invite you to find your place in this.
